Insurance Requirements

Commercial general liability insurance, including but not limited to, bodily injury, property damage and personal injury is required for all on-location work in Pinellas County. Small crew and still photo shoots must also provide insurance. 

All documents must be uploaded into your filming permit application (Word doc or PDF). Applications submitted without proof of insurance are considered incomplete and will not be processed until proof of insurance is provided. NOTE: To film at any Pinellas County park or preserve, or other property owned or managed by Pinellas County, you must also upload an Endorsement form. 

Standard Limits:

General Aggregate $1,000,000
Products/Completed $1,000,000

Operations Aggregate

Personal Injury and Adv Injury $1,000,000
Each Occurrence $1,000,000
(Bodily Injury & Property Damage)


Additional insurance coverage or higher limits may be required based upon the risk level the city or county may face. These will be determined when the application is reviewed by risk managers and legal staff. This additional coverage may include a higher limit for General Liability. Other insurance coverage may be required including, but not limited to:

  • Commercial Auto Liability
  • Aviation Liability
  • Marine Liability
  • Pollution Legal Liability
  • Worker’s Comp and Employer’s Liability
